Many of us, whether it’s from a significant other, a best friend, or a family member, are fortunate enough to hear the phrase “I love you” on the regular. There’s great power in these three words, but we don’t necessarily need to hear them all the time to know and feel that someone genuinely cares for us at such a deep level.
We can feel that someone loves us in the comfort of their presence, in the tightness of their hugs, and in the happiness in their laughter. Most importantly, we can feel that someone loves us in words beyond what’s traditionally and explicitly said.
Here are 29 ways to say “I love you”:
- Tell me when you get home.
- I saw this and thought of you.
- I miss you.
- Thank you for everything.
- You’re the best.
- Do you need a ride?
- Here’s my jacket.
- Let me help you.
- I believe in you.
- You’re right, I’m sorry.
- You mean so much to me.
- Goodnight, sleep well.
- Don’t worry about it, I’ll pay for you.
- I’m so proud of you.
- I’m always here for you.
- Let’s watch a show together.
- Have you eaten?
- You matter.
- Drive safe.
- It’s okay, I don’t mind.
- You can do it.
- Let me know if you need anything.
- Just because.
- You can borrow mine.
- It’s no problem.
- You look great.
- I just want you to be happy.
- You deserve the world.
And of course,
29. I love you.
