18 Guilty Pleasure Songs You Forgot About

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Google defines a guilty pleasure as something that someone enjoys even though it is not super popular in society. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree when defining guilty pleasure songs.   A guilty pleasure song is a song that you wouldn’t admit to liking but when you’re driving alone, you roll your windows up and turn the volume all the way to the right and jam to it like it like nobody’s business. Here is a list I compiled with a few guilty pleasure songs you may have forgotten about.

  1. It Wasn’t me by Shaggy.

  2. The entire Lilo And Stitch Soundtrack. Throwback to your childhood. I can get behind some Elvis Presley.

  3. Any song by the cast of Hannah Montana and Victorious.

  4. If You Wanna Be My Lover by The Spice Girls. If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with this sooong. (Sorry not sorry.)

  5. Skyscraper by Demi Lovato.  If you don’t turn this song all the way up on your drive home and get emotional to it, I don’t even know what to tell you.

  6. Any song from The Weekend’s early albums. When the weekend first came out and you were embarrassed because all of their songs were super sexual but you secretly liked all of them. Um, can I still claim to be an OG fan even though I never admitted to liking them before?

  7. Can’t be Tamed by Miley Cyrus. This was her big break out song from her previous role as Hannah Montana and although we REALLY liked her as Hannah, we REALLY liked her as a bad girl, too.

  8. Literally any mashup done on the show Glee.  Everyone made fun of Glee but you already know we watched the first 6 seasons for sure!

  9. I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith.  If this song doesn’t get you in your feels, what does?

  10. Any song from the early One Direction years when they hadn’t called it quits, broke our hearts, grew up and had babies.

  11. Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson. When all the Disney and Teen Nick stars made the video of them singing to this and you were obsessed with it for the longest time.

  12. Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne.

  13. Listen To Your Heart by D.H.T.

  14. The Office Theme song. Don’t even try to tell me you don’t have that sucker memorized.

  15. The Hairspray Soundtrack but, obviously, the one with Zac Efron in it.

  16. La La Land by Demi Lovato. That girl can SING.

  17. A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton. You loved it when it wasn’t in White Girls, but your love grew all the more when it made a guest appearance.

  18. 22 by Taylor Swift. Such. A. Jam.
