Have you heard of HopOver?
This app is the solution to your mass text of “Wanna get coffee before my next class?” and the corresponding mess of “yes”, “no”, and “I’m sort of free” answers. It even solves the logistics of location selection!
With the HopOver app on your iphone you can post your “Hop” or status (eating, listening to music, etc.) and location so your available friends know where to meet up with you between classes. You can also host a Hop by selecting a location and inviting your friends.
All Hops automatically last one hour, but if a friend joins your Hop then the Hop time shown to your other friends will increase by one hour.
For safety reasons your location will only be displayed for your friends to join. Don’t forget to activate the Home Protection feature so that your location will not be shared within half a mile of your home.

Currently HopOver is only available for Iphone users, but the android version is coming soon and you can get on their email list for the official release notification on their website: http://gethopover.com
