Since Davis is located in YOLO county, one might say that we embrace the “YOLO” experience daily.

You remember YOLO, right? The universal excuse to do that thing. After all, You Only Live Once!

This term, once an obscenely popular phrase, is now ignored and uttered mostly in sarcasm. It’s almost as if true YOLO has disappeared.

But not for long, thanks to this throwback vernacular lesson from The Lonely Island.

First rule of YOLO County: Ride your bike.

YOLO — as in: don’t let your responsibilities slip away.

YOLO, so don’t live coughing and oozing mucus if you don’t have too.

YOLO, so cook your food properly!

YOLO. Use protection. I don’t actually have to explain this one.

After all…

You only live once, so live it
