The Process of Writing a Paper as Told Through Gifs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

1. Getting the assignment

Due in two weeks? Literally do in two weeks; I’m busy right now.

2. When it’s been two weeks

And you’ve got midterms to study for, clubs to attend, a job to go to.

3. So it’s time to get down to business

And it’s not a problem, you’ve done this before. “Last Minute” is your middle name.

4. But not before you take a quick social media break

You need a break before you start your paper in order to clear the mind, everyone knows this.

5. And finally, after that one to two hour break, you decide to start the paper

6. And you’ve been writing forever and you’re almost done

You’re thinking, “Maybe I can still go out.”

7. But then you realize you haven’t reached the word count

And by this point, you don’t even care, you just want to go to BED.

8. So you sit there, trying to see what you can expand/write nonsense on

9. And you finally come up with something and finish it real quick

You really just turned, “Her name is Sam” into “The girl’s birthname, which was given to her by her parents, was Samantha.”

10. And you’re so tired and happy, so you finally go to bed

And you promise to never do it again, but when the next assignment comes, the cycle repeats.
