No Costume? No Problem — Grab Your Makeup!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

With Halloween fast approaching, many people are desperate to get a hold of a costume by either buying or making one themselves. However, makeup artists have gone to YouTube to create Halloween looks that can serve as your costume, using everyday makeup. Here are some looks that range from cute to terrifying.

Bambi Halloween Makeup Look

Difficulty level: 2/5

If you’re looking for a last minute yet cute costume, you have it right here! Youtuber Daisy Marquez does her own take on Disney’s Bambi to show her fans how quick and easy it is to create a costume as part of her Halloween series. Because your face is the center of attention, all you need to do is put on some plain, cute clothing and head out the door with your friends for a fun night out. Grab that black eyeliner and get started by watching here!

Vampire Halloween Makeup Look

Difficulty Level: 2.5/5

Get out your eyeshadow — this is what Youtuber Joe Conza uses in order to create a detailed vampire look. He incorporates a bit of fake blood on his neck and around his lips, but it can be recreated with red lipstick or eyeshadow as well. This is the perfect look for when you’re in the Halloween spirit but still want to be recognizable. Check out the tutorial here!

Melting Skull Makeup Look

Difficulty level: 4/5

Makeup artist Desi Perkins serves this look for the ones who want to go all out. You’ve got glam on one side of the face and a skull on the other — this is a look that will surely get attention. While this makeup does require face paint for the skull and a flesh-colored gel to recreate the “melted” skin, you can recreate the face paint with eyeliner/eyeshadow or go pick up a face paint kit from your local Target, Dollar Store, etc. As for the gel, it can be purchased online or it can be done without!
