The Journey of the Unseen World by Najafi Quchani — an anecdote about the afterlife — is a compelling read and one of the best books I have ever laid eyes on. I read this book last year and I recently revisited it this year. My first time coming across such a gem of a book left me dazzled and mesmerized. This time, there was another beautiful yet different journey into the story. What is absolutely intriguing about this book is the way in which it leaves you in deep thought, ceaselessly turning page after page after page.

It seems that no matter what we get out of this world it is not satisfying. No matter how long the way may be, this world is undeniably transitory. So if this world is not our permanent abode, then why were we created for this world?
“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” 51:56
In this world, God has given every person the ability to think and make decisions as well as realize the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, truth and falsehood, and He’s held us accountable for every minute fraction of action and reminded us to use our time wisely — all for the purpose of earning a better hereafter. He has also told us:
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you.” 49:13

Being righteous comes in many forms, so be righteous and give — give of your love, your support, your energy, your knowledge, your time, your patience, your respect. And no matter what, do not look back at what you give so that you may always keep on giving.
