Grade: 4th year

Hometown: Santa Rosa, CA
Relationship Status: Single

How did you spend your summer?: I worked at an animal refuge, where I fed exotic animals like giraffes and rhinos. I just applied over summer, went in, and got it. I’m an animal science major so it was cool to work there. I also went on a 22-mile backpacking trip which was pretty sick.

How do you stay involved on campus?: I rushed Theta Xi as a freshman, and now I’m Scholarship Chair on the Exec Board. Basically, I make sure the guys keep their grades up. Also, I’m on the Ski or Snowboard Club, and I’ve done soccer, football, softball intramurals since freshman year.

What is one of your most embarrassing moments? I was messing with my iPod freshman year while I was riding my bike and I wasn’t paying attention and flipped over my handlebars. But the most embarrassing part was that this chick was watching and saw the whole thing happen. It was my freshman year, winter quarter, and I still haven’t forgotten.

What do you want to do after you graduate? I want to go to vet school and then do the Army vet school program. Vets in the Army care for bomb-sniffing dogs and service animals like dolphins and horses. Also, the vets care for the soldier’s animals that live on base. I figured I’d miss the camaraderie of being in a fraternity, so this comes close. Plus, I’d get my vet school paid for. I know I don’t want to be sitting in an animal clinic after graduation.

What is something people don’t know about you? I’m fluent in Spanish. Also, I have two older brothers. I would even say that they’re better looking than me [author’s note: we don’t believe him]. I really like to snow board up in Tahoe and go surfing in Bodega Bay.

Who would you say your role models are? My role models are my two older brothers. They’re my role models and best friends. There’s John, a high school math teacher, and Evan, who surfs like me and works in real estate in Maui.

What have you enjoyed most about your time in Davis? I like being in close proximity with people my own age. Being in a fraternity has been great: there’s always someone to play sports with, always someone who’s down to party, and always someone who needs to study. When you go back to your hometown, there’s not as many people to chill with like that.

If you could switch lives with one person for one day who would you choose? Brad Pitt, of course. He’s had his pick of Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston…and have you seen horrible bosses?
