Summer is well on its way and the days are getting longer, and much MUCH hotter! It’s great to take a break from makeup to refresh your face, but on the days that you would like to add a little bit extra, here are some amazing products that are great for the warmer weather!

1. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation

After reading review after review of this product, I finally caved in and purchased this foundation about 3 months ago. Not only is this foundation full coverage, but it’s also very buildable and feels very light when you have it on. It also has an SPF of 15! I found the best application technique (for myself at least) is to squeeze a bit of the product on the back of your hand and then applying it lightly to your face with either a Sephora Protools #56 brush or with a damp Beauty Blender. I suggest applying a thin layer and adding more where needed.

*Tip: Priming your face before applying foundation makes a world of difference. I recommend using the Too Faced Hangover Primer for any dry areas on your face and/or applying the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer wherever you get oily or shiny.

2. Tarte LipSurgence in Wonder:

This shade is gorgeous and applies extremely well. The color payoff is amazing and the formula is very creamy. It lasts for a good amount of time—about 3-4 hours—though I would love if it was longer wearing. Regardless, this is a great purchase.

3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara:

Since I’ve started using this mascara, I don’t think I could go back to any others. You get an insane amount of volume and length with this product. I’ve been asked multiple times if I’m wearing false lashes when I’m wearing this mascara—which is definitely a plus when you don’t feel like messing around with falsies.

4. NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder

This has honestly saved me so many times. I use this powder with a big flat-topped brush (a fluffy brush works just as well) to set my makeup in place for the heat wave outside. The powder is white and works to absorb any shine/oil. I usually reapply this product as a mid-day touch up to refresh my look.
