Winter Quarter is brutal. If you haven’t biked through a downpour (and sometimes a sprinkle of hail) or accidentally walked through a “puddle” the size of a small ocean, then you haven’t experienced Winter Quarter (welcome freshmen!!). The temperature extremes not only take a toll on your immune system, but on your skin as well. Between the frigid cold and the much needed blast of your furnace, your skin goes through a lot. A night time routine is one of the best ways to ensure that your skin stays healthy, even when your schedule is full. Here are some ways to help revive your skin at the end of the day!

1. Always take off your makeup.

I have been guilty of passing out with some makeup still on, and it’s just not worth it. Micellar water is a great way to gently remove makeup from your skin, without drying it out. Rinse with warm water afterwards.

2. Hydrate!!

My favorite nighttime lotion is this one, linked here.

3. Face oil.

The concept of rubbing oil on your face is not always well received, but it’s a game changer. Look for a face oil that complements your skin type and you can’t go wrong. After you moisturize, use just a couple of drops of oil, and rub thoroughly into your face and neck.

4. Lip masks.

I didn’t start using lip masks until recently and I cannot say enough good things about this one, linked here. The vanilla scented one is my personal favorite. Put it on right before bed and wake up completely hydrated!
