10 Signs That You’re in Love

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

Maybe you’ve been dating your significant other for a year. Or, maybe you started out as friends, moved to “friends with benefits,” and now you want to make it official. Whatever your situation might be, you are starting to have actual feelings for the person you’re with. Here are 10 signs that you’re in love.

1. You miss them the second you leave them even though you have plans to see them the next day.

2. They make everything better. You want to bring them everywhere, even to a dentist appointment.

3. You can be yourself around them. Not only have they seen you decked out in makeup and in the best mood in the world, but they have also been with you on those days you look how you feel–a mess.

4. Their name excites you when you get a call or text on your iPhone.

5. You find yourself shopping for new clothes to wear in front of them.

6. They even impress your family. Your family loves how happy they make you feel.

7. You can picture a life with them beyond college. You even think about how cute your kids will be.

8. While your significant other might not be a 10 out of 10 in your friend’s eyes, they’re a 100 out of 10 to you.

9. Your favorite things and their favorite things become the same. When you decide to go out to dinner, you both automatically think of the same restaurant.

10. They’re your best friend. You come to them whenever you feel down because they are the one person who always puts a smile on your face, and you can have fun doing absolutely nothing with them.
