Lover

Of course, We have to kick off the list with the most explicitly romantic Taylor Swift song of all time: “Lover.” The third track from her 2019 album with the same name is not only a musical masterpiece, but it is also extremely lyrically heartfelt. “Lover” is a timeless romance song that will surely be a classic for the coming years!

Enchanted

No song captures that giddy, butterflies in the stomach, early stages of an epic romance quite like “Enchanted.” There is a fairytale aspect to this song that makes it even more magical. This fan favorite track from Speak Now perfectly depicts a chance romantic encounter most people can only dream of. Yet, it comes as no surprise that Taylor Swift manages to incorporate relatable feelings associated with a budding love.

False God

Another song from Lover, but this one goes in a slightly different direction. “False God” is romantic, but also one of the steamier songs in Taylor Swift’s discography. From the sultry saxophone to the steady beat, “False God” reflects a love that experiences pressure, but still thrives, and does so in a sexy way! Between the religious allusions and the production of this track, it is certainly one of best Valentine’s Day anthems.

Invisible String

THIS. SONG. The imagery, the whimsical music, the ROMANCE!! Taylor Swift does it again on this beautiful track from her 2020 album, folklore. “Invisible String” tells the story of how powerful love can be. Sometimes, it just feels like there’s an invisible string leading you to your special someone, making all of your past experiences worth it–whether they were good or bad. “Invisible String” is a story of a love that requires both serendipity and patience.

Crazier

Okay… hear me out. You might remember this song from the *iconic* Hannah Montana: The Movie and think, ‘This is your idea of a great romance song?,’ to which I answer ABSOLUTELY. “Crazier” is a song about a love that is out of this world and makes you lose your mind, but in the best way possible.

This Love

1989 was the thriving single girl era of Miss Swift, but it still gave us “This Love.” “This Love” portrays a complex romance, full of ups and downs, but ultimately a love that is meant to be. The melody of this song is intoxicating and the message is truly beautiful. AND THAT BRIDGE?! Definitely deserving of a spot on this list!

Love Story

Of course, we can’t forget one of the most popular Taylor Swift songs of all time. Another instance of beautiful storytelling where we have a narrative set to epic music. This song is nostalgic, iconic, and extremely fun to belt. There’s no better way to close out the list of romantic Taylor Swift songs than with “Love Story”!

There are SO. MANY. songs that deserve a spot on this list. Honorable mention to almost all of reputation, which, at its core is a romance album dressed in black!
