Skincare: The Ordinary Products

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Riverside chapter.

The Ordinary has been a hype all over the app Tik Tok and I’ve been breaking out like crazy so I decided to try it out and see how it’d go! I heard so many positive reviews on the products and it’s so popular because of how affordable it is. Here are some products you definitely need to try!

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I have oily skin and a lot of redness which is why this product had me shook. You use this twice a day after cleansing your face day and night and OMG. This serum has helped me with minimizing my pores and redness. The oil has toned down my breakouts which are slowly going away. I’ve only been using this product for 2 weeks and it’s already working so well. I struggle with having so much acne and for the first time, I feel confident with my skin. Plus it’s only $5.90!

AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Charisse Kenion

I was excited to try this because I have acne prone and oily skin. I also have a lot of acne scars and because one of the ingredients is salicylic acid, it goes deep into my pores and pushes out dirt and oil from the skin. It’s also pretty cool that it looks like blood. Honestly, it helps the skin glow as well! I use it once a week at night since it is very powerful. The price: $7.20

This product is good for all types of skin. It helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles all while hydrating the skin. I use this after cleansing as well when the face is dry. I have a lot of uneven texture so it really helps smooth out my face while giving me moisture. You apply this twice a day. Price: $14.80

Try these three serums if you can because it honestly is doing magic to my skin and it has only been 2 weeks! It comes in a cute container bottle too. With everything that is going on, the least you can do is take care of your skin!
