How do you balance school and life?
Monday through Friday, school is my priority. Weekends are for family and friends.

Writing, teaching, doing documentaries, two kids no more no less, and living in a private beach.
Who do you think is a good role model for women?
For me it’s Rihanna. She symbolizes freedom and expression, and she is well respected for that.
How did you feel about the Rihanna and Chris Brown collaboration on Birthday Cake?
I liked it. She forgave him, if she can do it why can’t we? It took a lot to forgive for what happened. It helped with her career as well.
What are three things every girl should know about themselves?
Know your worth. Have self respect, and be open minded, don’t think all guys are dogs.
How important is education for black women?
It’s important to know where you’re from. Be proud of who you are. We are misrepresented and are heavily stereotyped. It’s not cool to be stupid. With education we triumph over any negativity and show to the world what we are made of.
How long should a girl wait to have sex?
Personally do it when you’re ready. When you trust the guy and you love him. I won’t judge if it happens the next day.
How do you feel about tattoos on girls?
It’s all art. Make sure the pain is worth it because it’s permanent. The tattoo should mean something to you. If you get something like “5 star b*tch” that’s just demeaning. I would rather see a lilo and stitch tattoo.
If you could marry any Disney prince/princess who would it be?
Prince Naveen. He has a developing character and growth.
