Whether you are in need of cash or just want some extra cash on the side, here are six ways you can make money, fast!
1. Recycle!
It’s 2012, the year that the world is supposedly going to “end.” If I were abeliever, I would have to say that global warming is probably one of the key conntributors to “the end of theworld.” In an effort to help this plausible catastrophic event, here’s a little suggestion that may delay the feared day: recycle. Not only is recycling good for the environment, it’s good for your wallet. Imagine all those water bottles you go through on a hot Riverside afternoon. Those beer cans after the party you threw last night? Don’t toss them! Collect all plastic, aluminum, and even glass bottles in a trash bag, and take them to recycle. You will be amazed at how much money you can make from trash, literally.
2. Don’t eat out!
As college students, we’re always on the go. Not only do we have class, some of us have jobs, and others are a part of clubs, sororities, and fraternities, leaving us no time to cook. Oursolution? Eat out. Not only does eating out eat your money, it can be unhealthy! Avoid this money munching problem by packing your own lunch before heading on campus. It’s a much more healthier and cheaper alternative to keep your belly and wallet full.
3. Sell your textbooks.
Honestly, why can’t it be like back in the days where we are given books to use then return after? It’s probably one of the biggest necessities we blow our money on as college students. Books on books on books, and after 10 weeks, they’re pretty much useless. Don’t just leave them lying around, sell them! We all receive them through r’mail, students announcing that they are selling their textbooks, that’s one way to do it. The campus bookstore will also buy your books back. For an easier way to sell amongst UCR students, use rtexts.com, a site MADE for UCR students by UCR students for this very reason.
4. Baby-sit.
How many family-friends or neighbors do you have, who have with kids? If you think life as a college student is hectic, imagine the hustle-and-bustle life of the real world. Manyparents are willing to let a trusted, college student (you) sit in their homes and watch their kids while they work, and pay for it. The best part about it? YOU get to decide how much they pay you.
6. Online surveys.
