I do believe in white privileges, yes, the darker your skin, the faster your privilege card gets taking away.

Having the color black on your skin automatically disqualifies one, degrades one and most especially makes one a “threat”

Our brothers and sister die daily due to other viewing them as a threat, as a danger. If a white man was to commit the same exact crime as a black man, the white man will serve less time while the black man can be locked up for decades. If a white man walks into a job office, he most likely would be preferred over a black man. But white privileges don’t exist?

We’ve heard instances of a person crossing the street to avoid walking next to a group of young black men., a person calling 911 to report the presence of a person of color who is otherwise behaving lawfully, a police officer shooting an unarmed person of color because he “feared for his life.”, a jury finding a person of color guilty of violent crime despite scant evidence and federal intelligence agency prioritizing investigating black and Latino activists rather than investigate white supremacist activity.

With the many lives who fought for rights for people of color, from Martin Luther King to Rosa Park to Maya Angelou and many more civil right activities, we still have not conquered total freedom.

We have people like Trayvon Martin who was shot while he was unarmed due to an altercation with someone of lighter skin. We have stories of police officers shooting and killing innocent unarmed men like Botham Shem Jean, who was shot in his own apartment because the female officer thought she was in her own apartment meanwhile he was in his own home. The list goes on and on and on, how many more lives? Recently there was another story of a black man sleeping in his car, and was shot by six police officers while sleeping in his own car. We have the mysterious story of Sandra Bland.

Innocent men and women with bright futures dying every day because of the color of his skin. Getting looked down on because of the color of one’s skin. How many more lives? How long do we have to fight for? How long?
