Thinking about throwing away those muddy combat boots or letting go of your faux fur coat? Are you tired of your red hair? Well, Her Campus UCR is here with the perfect guide for all of your trendy, Spring 2012 wardrobe and cosmetic needs. Please proceed with caution! Some of these trends might be something you’ve never thought about trying before. It might be risky, but it will take you to other level of fashion.

Ombre Hair

It’s the next big thing other than red hair! Everyone in Hollywood seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. Do you still feel like it isn’t edgy enough? You can cut your bangs choppy or straight depending on the look you want to achieve. In reality, everyone can achieve the style they want. Don’t be afraid to try something new.

Caution: You might be asked for your number many times! That guy in your discussion class won’t be able to take his eyes off of you. Go get em tiger!

Metallic bold colors!

Whether you wear metallic print as a jacket or pants, it doesn’t matter. Do you remember when shiny black leggings were in? Well now, instead of grabbing a pair of plain black ones , you can wear metallic black leggings with a nice pair of heels and a crop top!

Caution: Make sure to rock your metallic print with confidence. Be proud of who you are and don’t let any one tell you otherwise.

Lace

Aside from metallic prints, lace is a quite trendy right now. You can wear lace on any piece of clothing you would like. That’s the beauty of it.

Caution: Don’t overdue the lace. It would be very unflattering to wear lace heels, lace headbands, and a lace dress put together. Keep it simple and classy.

Cosmetics

One of the perks of having ombre hair is that unlike red hair, it does not require a lot of make-up. You may be asking why. Well because the purpose of ombre hair is to emphazise your natural beauty. Do you have blemishes? Don’t worry about it, you can always grab your favorite tinted moisturizer to cover it up. Taylor Swift is an advocate of Cover Girl’s Nature Luxe Tinted Moisturizer. It has a dewy finish and it protects your skin from the sun! For a more drastic look, you can add eyelash extensions or contour your cheeks. Be careful when contouring. If you don’t know how to do it, you can always go on Youtube to learn.

Caution: It might take you a while to adjust to your new fabulous look! If you often wear a lot of cake on your face, this might feel like you aren’t wearing any. Get used to it.

P.S: Do you feel like all the food you consumed during the Superbowl Sunday has been reatined for good? Don’t worry! You can disguise it allwith a nice flowy tangerine or pastel blouse paired with high wasted jeans and a belt.

Ladies, the best advice that I can give you is to always be yourselves. Never be afraid to try something new. Be confident, and fierce.
