What is your dream job?

I haven’t decided just yet. I feel like with my majors, there are many different paths I could take. I hope to figure it out when I’m in law school.

What is your guilty pleasure?

I watch Boardwalk Empire.

Compare yourself from this year to last year.

Last year, I focused on dance and just enjoying my time in college. This year, I’m focusing more on my future by double majoring, spending my spring quarter as a participant in the UCDC program, and I’m planning on applying for the Political Science Honors Program.

Who’s your celebrity crush?

Jake Gyllenhaal.

What’s your favorite song on repeat?

La Vie En Rose by Louis Armstrong.

Where are your favorite places to shop?

Francesca’s, Goodwill, and my sister’s closet.

What are your hobbies?

Dance, photography, sewing, and Disneyland.

What’s your favorite memory at UCI so far?

I think for me it’s going to All-UCI Dance Battles each year because it’s so fun and everyone’s excited. You get to see good dancers and it’s not a competition so the vibe is more easygoing. That’s how I got involved with the dance community at UCI.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Hopefully five years from now I can get a job in the law field dealing with civil rights.

What is one thing you want people to know about you?

I enjoy doing old lady activities such as listening to Frank Sinatra while sewing, but on the other hand, I love hip-hop culture and dance so my interests vary greatly.

Deanna graduated from UCI in 2017 with a double major in English and Literary Journalism, and an Emphasis in Creative Writing. She was part of Her Campus from 2014-2016 and became one of the two editors for her chapter. A geek at heart, she loves going to conventions, plays video games, and follows up on nerdy news. In the foreseeable future, she aims to become an author, write for a video game company, and travel to Japan to do some more writing there, all of which are listed in no particular order.
