Yes. Pizza!

Favorite artist(s)?

Jack Johnson, Atmosphere

Describe your style?

Simple but interesting

Describe your ideal date?

Honestly, it doesn’t matter where it is.  It depends on how well I connect with the person, because if you have that, it doesn’t matter where you are.

You sing! How long have you been signing?

I started when I was 4. I took it as a hobby and I didn’t really try to perform until college.

You performed along with others in Soulstice 2013. How was it like performing in front of all those people?

It was fine. The audience is dark so you can’t really see them. You only focus on the judges because the light is on their face and they’re just staring at you.

Vagina Monologues? How was that?

My hall mate from Mesa Court was telling me, “hey, there’s this play. You want to come do it with me?” and I was like “yeah.” I didn’t really do it because I was passionate about feminism or anything like that.

What’s the best part of Jumpstart?

 The kids, OBVIOUSLY.

Any memorable moments you’ve had with the kids?

[This little girl] Alexa kept on signing the song [Do you want to build a snowman?] from “Frozen.” She knew all the lyrics and actions. It was so cute!

Career goals?

Probably teach high school or elementary school.

Have you always thought about becoming a teacher?

I made a pillow when I was in second grade. All the kids were required to make a pillow and stich what we wanted our career to be, and I put teacher because that was the only thing that I knew. But as I got older I realized that’s actually what I wanted to do. I still have [the pillow]!
