Self Care Items To Gift Your Friends On Galentine’s Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Irvine chapter.

Now that we are just entering February, that means Valentine’s Day is a couple of weeks away, and regardless of how you plan on spending the day, it should be filled with love and joy. Therefore, if you are thinking, “What do I get my best friend? or What can I get my daughter this year?”, then you have landed in the right place! I will be recommending several trendy things that I have been eyeing this year and items that any teen girl would be happy to receive this year for Valentine’s Day!

Beauty

The Laneige lip scrub and Tree Hut exfoliating scrub are some of the most popular, trendy skincare items that all teen girls would enjoy adding to their self-care routine. I have heard fantastic things about the berry-flavored Laneige lip scrub. I received the GrandeLASH serum for Christmas this year, and I am here to say that the results have been both surprising and remarkable! If you have not seen the viral TikTok videos on the results of this product, then I suggest you look, and I am sure you will also want to share this gift of self-love with someone on Valentine’s Day. Additionally, I own a product from the Sol de Janeiro line, and I am obsessed with the scent, so a set with several different products would be a perfect gift for anyone you know that loves to smell good. And on what better day to gift someone with such luxury smelling products than Valentine’s Day.

Some recommendations:

Shoes

For Christmas, I was gifted the target dupe for the Ugg slippers, which we all know thanks to TikTok that these are happily making their comeback into 2022, and I am obsessed with them. Because we are still in the winter season, these slippers have been amazingly easy to just slide into with pretty much any outfit, loungewear or not, and make the fit 100% cuter and cozier. I recommend these for anyone that perhaps did not receive Uggs, or slippers, for Christmas, and what makes it even better is that the Target price is pretty much unbeatable, making them even harder not to have.

Some recommendations:

Clothes

Giving the gift of clothes is always a must because you can never go wrong with it. Pajamas, for example, are clothes that everyone loves to receive and add to their wardrobe. You can make the gift more festive by giving a set of Valentine-themed pajamas that you and your friends can match with. Another great gift idea is this amazon cross-over high-waisted, flair leggings that will help make you feel all the more loved with the flattering details of this product. For reference, I am around 5’3, and the black pair I chose fit me perfectly in height and around my waist. I love love love these leggings, and they have quickly become one of my favorite leggings.

Simpler Gifts

Sometimes searching for the perfect gift for a teen girl may sound exhausting, so a stress-free solution would be to give gift cards. Now, if you know of someone who would love a free manicure or pedicure, a nail salon gift card would be perfect for them, especially since it is not likely to expire. Valentine’s Day is also the perfect occasion to pamper someone you love and help make them feel the most beautiful and loved they could feel, either with a new set of nails, facial treatment, or even a massage.

These gift items are not only things that I, as a college freshman, would enjoy, but rather are gifts that any teen girl would also love to receive on this day of love. I would be grateful to receive any of these gifts, and hopefully, your loved ones will too:) I hope these recommendations make the gift-giving process a little easier for family, friends, or even yourself!
