At a young age, a girl starts to dream of her wedding day. She creates a fantasy of how she wants her big day to be. I remember watching Cinderella and that was exactly how I dreamt of my wedding to be. Then, the Twilight Saga came along and I liked the idea of a wedding surrounded by nature. Up to date, I would still love to have a small and simple wedding in a nice forestry reception.
Many of you might be thinking why I am sharing this with you. Well, this weekend one of my close friends is getting married and I’m just so excited to be one of her bridesmaids. I remember in Sept. 2015, she announced she was getting married, and a month after she announced who her bridesmaids were going to be, I was fortunate to be one them.
The role of a bridesmaid can be stressful too. First, you should agree along with the bride on the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. Luckily, we all agreed with a rose petal color. After you get your dress, I would highly encourage you to try it on to make sure it fits. Some dresses might need a hem because the length is too long, which is why you should get your dress altered to a length you will be comfortable walking in. Then, pick out the heels you will be wearing for the day. Make sure to pick out a pair of heels that you will be comfortable walking in. Remember you will also be walking down the aisle too. We certainly do not want any accidents to happen.
A day before the wedding, the bridesmaids should get their manicures and pedicures done. I would suggest pick a color that is neutral and matches with your dress. Since the color of my dress is rose petal, my nails will be a vintage nude color.
Wedding day is here! On this day make sure to have enough spare time to get your makeup and hair done. I would suggest setting aside two to three hours to get ready. I’m quite lucky the ceremony starts at 1:30 pm so it gives me enough time to get ready.
At the reception, make sure to keep the bride happy and make her wedding day a dream come true.
