OH NO! I’ve Been Influenced!

I’ll be honest, usually I’m not one to fall into the hype of TikTok or Instagram advertisements. Especially not with the very visually aesthetic reviews of perfumes, clothing hauls or the unboxing kind. The girls are dressed cutesy with the most voluminous hair I’ve ever seen, or the clean girl kind of makeup—super pretty by the way!

This time, especially from one of the many videos chasing my algorithm page, I was deeply influenced to try Femmenina. I know, I have been successfully coerced and gave in!

Too Many to Choose and Dangerously Delicious

There was a time when I really wanted to dress like a coquette girl. Varying shades of pastel pink, to its cream, white, or brown partners. The leg warmers and lacy trimmed accessories made my eyes green with envy and a huge eye roll appear once or twice. I promise there was nothing wrong with it, but I definitely could not pull it off back then. The positive thing? Now it comes in various shapes and forms in my overly pink wardrobe… and on my perfume rack

Currently Femmenina has a total of 27 scents— the three that stand out are Marshmallow Fluff, Raspberries & Roses, Coconut Crème Pie in both Mist and Body oil which are completely sold out. Half of these names sound like a special sweet treat from a candy shop or a secret floral order! If you don’t believe me, listen to a small portion of this list: Strawberry Lace, Cherry Vanilla, Seductive Pink Sugar, Angel Delights.

Prices vary per scent, from $18.50 to $19.90 for a 100 ml glass bottle. If you’re like me and spray too many spritzes, then maybe purchasing one more bottle is the better option. My wallet may be suffering but my nose is not— thank you Cherry Vanilla, Seductive Pink Sugar, and Silk Petals!

The Big Three

I have yet to find perfumes that are light enough in scent, but I think these take the cake. Body ph does play a role in how long it lasts, but more than three hours is pretty impressive.

Cherry Vanilla’s main accord is the strong vanilla scent with a fruity and powdery back note. Though this is not a summer scent to me, I would strongly recommend it during spring and especially fall. Musky is not the right way to describe this but pleasantly spicy. This takes first place!

Angel Delights was truly a delight! The main cinnamon and warm spice scent is perfect for fall! Now this is musky, powdery and woody in a way that combines the fall season all in one. If I wasn’t already favoring the Cherry Vanilla fragrance then this would have been a close dethronement for the first pick. This lasted about three hours, one and a half on a windy day!

This was already a given to take the third spot, but maybe I’m a bit biased. I thought Seductive Pink Sugar was going to be more sickly sweet, but it was very citrusy. Looks can deceive! The main accord is citrus scented with more floral notes towards the fading ends of the mist. Moderately long lasting for about two hours, but if you have lotion on then it’s safe to say three.

Final Spritz

At the end of the day, was I influenced? Absolutely. Do I regret it? No, not even a little.

Femmenina feels like one of those brands that understands the fun of smelling pretty without making it feel too serious or too expensive. The bottles are charming, the scent names are dangerously tempting, and the fragrance themselves feel playful, feminine, and wearable. Not every scent will be for everyone, but if you’re a sweet, floral, powdery or soft gourmand type of girl, this is a brand worth trying!!

So yes, TikTok won this time. My For You Page won and is not recommending their clothes—dangerous territory for me. My perfume shelf has three new guests, and I am a few mists away from welcoming another one.
