UC Berkeley Panhellenic Has Some of The Cutest Spring Recruitment ‘17 Pics

This year, three sororities at Cal held spring recruitment to invite potential new members into their chapter. These sororities were Gamma Phi Beta, Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta), and Zeta Tau Alpha. Their new pledge classes were eagerly welcomed into these sororities with smiles, hugs, and creatively themed bid days. And boy, oh boy, were they adorable!

First, off let’s take a look at Gamma Phi Beta!

The theme of their Bid Day was “That 70’s Show”, harkening back to the TV classic where Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis played their most iconic roles. GPhi painted their letters rainbow, wore matching tie-dye shirts and flower crowns, and decorated their house with old records and multi-colored balloons.

Just look at that retro swag, these girls know what’s good. And applause to them for representing Cal’s Golden Bears with that shirt design!

Next, we have Tri Delta!

Their bid night was formal, so the girls dressed in cocktail attire and decorated the house with gold and silver accents. They had a photo booth as well, featuring cute and colorful picture frames, wands, sunglasses, and hats.

Did I mention Tri Delt also had cupcakes, too? Cupcakes are a great way to make the new members feel at home!

And finally, Zeta Tau Alpha!

Their bid day theme was Camp Zeta, so their attire included jeans, t-shirts, and flannel. Even the signs they made were meant to look like the ones you see at camp, with arrows listing off events Zeta has throughout the year. They treated their new members to s’mores, a chocolate fountain, and some old-school bubble wands.

And if you cash them outside, you’ll find sparklers to light up the night!

And that wraps up Berkeley’s Panhellenic spring recruitment! Congratulations to all the girls who found their new homes. Go bears, go Greek!

As a senior undergraduate, I seek out all opportunities that expand my horizons, with the aim of developing professionally and deepening my vision of how I can positively impact the world around me. While most of my career aims revolve around healthcare and medicine, I enjoy producing content that is informative, engaging, and motivating.  In the past few years, I have immersed myself in the health field through working at a private surgical clinic, refining my skills as a research assistant in both wet-lab and clinical settings, shadowing surgeons in a hospital abroad, serving different communities with health-oriented nonprofits, and currently, exploring the pharmaceutical industry through an internship in clinical operations.  Career goals aside, I place my whole mind and soul in everything that I pursue whether that be interacting with patients in hospice, consistently improving in fitness PR’s, tutoring children in piano, or engaging my creativity through the arts. Given all the individuals that I have yet to learn from and all the opportunities that I have yet to encounter in this journey, I recognize that I have much room and capacity for growth. Her Campus is a platform that challenges me to consistently engage with my community and to simultaneously cultivate self-expression.
