In college, the event that happens the most on Halloween is going to a party. However, sometimes I just don’t feel like going out and being surrounded by so many people in a small room. So, as someone who has been in college for a while, I’ve put together a series of events that are actually really fun to do this Halloween if you are someone who doesn’t really go out all the time, and wants to have a more chill Halloween.
Some of the best fun you can have with friends is going to a pumpkin patch, as there are so many you can go to in the Bay Area. Pumpkin patches have much to offer, like looking at and buying the many pumpkins that they have around the lot. They also have really cool corn mazes that, to say from experience, can be extremely difficult and take a long time to get out of, making it a fun adventure for you and your friends. There are also a lot of different foods and drinks that you can try, like pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pie, or any type of fall food that fits the mood, and there are many different photo opportunities that you can always take advantage of to show off your costumes.
Another cool idea is to have a Halloween movie night with your friends, watching some classic horror movies or movies that carry a Halloween vibe/theme. During these movie nights, you can also bake some really cute sweet treats like ghost cookies, skeleton pizzas, or spooky cinnamon rolls. This is genuinely such a great way to connect with your friends and make some great memories with each other on Halloween.
The last thing that I’d recommend is going out to your local neighborhoods and going trick or treating. Sometimes you can get some really cool treats and it can be a super fun experience to have with your friends, seeing all the cool decorations on people’s houses and grabbing some candy. You can also participate in handing out candy, as it’s fun to see everyone’s costumes.
Overall, this Halloween, I’m super excited to have a chill night with my friends and I can’t wait to do some of these activities during the celebration of Halloween, being able to dress up in costumes and hang out with my friends is my favorite part of the holiday and to do it in a low-overstimulating environment is the way to go.
