What’s the most valuable events that have happened since you’ve been in college? It hasn’t happened yet, but next week I’m going to run my first half marathon with some of the other girls from crew. We are all looking forward to pushing ourselves past our limits, and experiencing the beautiful trails of Rodeo Beach.

Have you gotten well-oriented at Cal by now? I would say that I am well-oriented with Cal now. It honestly took me a long time, but I think I’ve finally reached a point where I can say with pride that this place is home.

What are the places in Berkeley that you love most? Even though it’s not technically in Berkeley, my favorite place here is undeniably the Oakland estuary, where we row. It’s easy to get stuck in a “bubble” on campus, and being on the water in the mornings gives me a rare opportunity to take a step back from the chaos that is being a student at Cal.

What is something that most people don’t know just by looking at you? When people look at me standing at 5 ft., they usually don’t realize that I have a background in boxing and MMA.

What are the TV shows you’d recommend to everyone? My favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones, the Walking Dead, and Downton Abbey.

What are your go-to comfort foods? My go-to comfort foods are cookie dough, chocolate chip cookies, and corn dogs.

What or who makes you the happiest? I  get my happiness from my relationships with other people. It’s amazing how easily a short conversation with my brother or a friend, who I haven’t seen in a while, can turn my day around.

UC Berkeley '19

As a senior undergraduate, I seek out all opportunities that expand my horizons, with the aim of developing professionally and deepening my vision of how I can positively impact the world around me. While most of my career aims revolve around healthcare and medicine, I enjoy producing content that is informative, engaging, and motivating.  In the past few years, I have immersed myself in the health field through working at a private surgical clinic, refining my skills as a research assistant in both wet-lab and clinical settings, shadowing surgeons in a hospital abroad, serving different communities with health-oriented nonprofits, and currently, exploring the pharmaceutical industry through an internship in clinical operations.  Career goals aside, I place my whole mind and soul in everything that I pursue whether that be interacting with patients in hospice, consistently improving in fitness PR’s, tutoring children in piano, or engaging my creativity through the arts. Given all the individuals that I have yet to learn from and all the opportunities that I have yet to encounter in this journey, I recognize that I have much room and capacity for growth. Her Campus is a platform that challenges me to consistently engage with my community and to simultaneously cultivate self-expression.
