As my time at Berkeley comes to a close, I’ve made it my mission to do as many things as I can in this last semester. If this is also your last semester at Cal, try a few of these five things before you graduate!
1. Climb up the Campanile
All students with a valid Cal ID can visit the Campanile for free! At the very top, you can see the entire city of Berkeley and even the Bay.
2. Attend Taco Tuesday at Raleigh’s with your friends
Every Tuesday, Raleigh’s has $2 tacos and $6 margaritas! Whether you’re just looking for a cheap taco dinner or a fun night out with friends, this is the perfect place to go on a Tuesday night.
3. Attend your last Cal Day!
This year’s Cal Day is on April 22, 2023. So, make sure to come out and celebrate Cal for the last time with tons of music, free performances and free food!
4. Picnic on Memorial Glade
Memorial Glade is a landmark of the Cal campus. Set aside some time before you graduate for a picnic in the grass with friends. You can even hang up a hammock between some of the trees and enjoy your picnic snacks from there!
5. Sit in on a class that’s completely unrelated to your degree
If your time at Berkeley is quickly coming to an end, and you have no plans for grad school after, make the most of your time as a student at the #1 public university in the world. Take weird and fun classes that have nothing to do with your degree! Audit classes that you’re just interested in learning about!
