This series is not very fall focused but the emotion and feel of the soundtrack and the gloomy scenes make it a perfect fall movie. The soundtrack has dramatic and spooky music that make the movie embody fall. The friendship aspect of the movies creates this sense of warmth and happiness that sets the vibe perfectly. 2. Edward Scissorhands
This awkward yet cute and heartwarming movie is a classic fall movie. The eire and gothic aesthetic align perfectly with the autumn vibe. The setting of the dark and odd tones represent the ambiance of fall amazingly. The film also evokes a sense of nostalgia. Available to watch on Hulu and MAX.
3. Dead Poets Society
This movie is a rollercoaster, absolutely life altering, no one is the same after this film. The landscape as the film takes place in a New England prep school setting the spirit of academia and the fall season. The movie centers around a group of boys and their teacher that form an amazing friendship. The story is bittersweet, has tissues but worth it. Available to watch on Prime Video and Paramount Plus.
4. Anne of Green Gables
This classic coming of age film is set in the late 19th century in the picturesque canadian countryside. This idyllic and lush greenery captures the environmental beauty of autumn. The movie shows the transformation of the protagonist just as fall being a transition into colder weather. The movie evokes the feeling of joy and comfort, essential to a fall movie. 5. E.T.
This classic 80’s movie, captures the magic and wonder of autumn. The odd friendship between a young boy and an alien stranded on earth creates a heartwarming story. 6. Mean Girls
I know a little left field but the classic like of Oct. 3 and this comedy film occurs during the fall so perfect for a fall movie. This comedy movie explores the fitting within the high school hierarchy. This is a perfect, relaxing and hilarious movie to enjoy during fall season. 7. Fantastic Mr. Fox
This nostalgic stop motion movie has this whimsical, cozy feeling for a perfect fall movie. The film’s color scheme captures the rustic and cozy aesthetic that is imagined with fall. The community and family aspect of the film makes it a perfect fall film for all. Available to watch on Hulu.
