This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

This week’s campus celebrity is famous alumni, Jeff Cohen.

Jeff Cohen was born in Los Angeles and grew up being a child actor. His most famous role of all time is playing “Chuck” in the 1985 Steven Spielberg film, The Goonies

In 1996, Cohen graduated from UC Berkeley with a Business Administration degree from the Haas School of Business. During his time at Cal, Cohen was an RA for both Putnam Hall and Norton Hall and was part of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. Cohen also became President of the Associated Students.

When running for president, Cohen dedicated his campaign to his old character from The Goonies, using the slogan “Chuck for president”. Besides being active in school politics, Cohen was also very energetic when it came to football games. He was a former “Mic-Man” and would perform his famous Truffle Shuffle on the sideline to rattle the crowd.

After Berkeley, Cohen moved to LA and attended UCLA School of Law. Upon graduation, he became an entertainment lawyer and co-founded the Cohen & Gardner firm in sunny Beverly Hills. Besides being a layer, Cohen also periodically writes for The Huffington Post, CNBC, Backstage, and Layerist. Once more we are so proud to see all the amazing things are former alumni’s have accomplished. Go Bears!!!
