5 Ways to Help Victims of Typhoon Haiyan

1. UNICEF: 

Donations to UNICEF will contribute to accessing medical supplies and clean drinking water to children and thier families. As well as releif efforts to help displaced families find shelter, food, and vaccines. All you have to do to donate is:  call 800-367-5437, text RELIEF to 864233, or donate online on their website. 

 2. Save The Children

Donations to Save The Children will help children and families in the Philippines, as well as Vietnam and Laos. Ten percent of every donation will go toward preparing for future disasters. 

3. The Philippine Red Cross 

By donating to the Philippine Red Cross you will help mobilize teams on the effected ground with rescue and relief efforts. The PRC also has a tracking page to help find family members lost in the tragedy. 

4. Apple

Yes, you can even help via Apple. They have created an option on iTunes that allows you to donate and transfer 100% of the donations to the American Red Cross. Donor support will provide shelter, food, emotional support and other useful assistance to the victims. 

5. United Nations World Food Programme

The UN World Food Programme has stated that it has allocated $2million for the distaster response. The WFP is sending more than 40 tons of high energy biscuits and are working with the Filipino government to help with logistics and emergency communications systems. The WFP is asking for donations on their website www.wfpusa.org or by texting the word AID to 27722 to donate $10.
