Spring Break is closely approaching which means you need to figure out where to spend it. As a college student you probably don’t have the funds to hit up Ibiza or Miami, but don’t sweat it. Luckily enough we got down to business and found the closest and cheapest Spring Break destinations to hit up this year. Take a look!!

1. Los Angeles

LA is never a bad idea and getting there is not hard either. Whether it’s by plane or car, spending Spring Break in LA is a magnificent idea. From flights from $70 RT to 6 hrs in a car, LA has SO many things to do and very low prices. Plus, Hollywood and Venice Beach are close to the city of angels.

2. Lake Tahoe

If you haven’t been to Lake Tahoe, it’s a must go. It really is stunning, especially in the winter and spring when the mountains are covered in snow. Depending on the weather, you can either snowboard down the snowy mountains or you can swim in the beautiful blue lake.  To make this trip even awesomer, get a group of friends and instead of staying in a hotel, rent a house or cabin near the lake. Trust me you will LOVE it!

3. San Francisco

There really isn’t a need to really go far this spring break, just cross the bridge over to one of the most beautiful cities; San Francisco. There is literally so much to see in San Francisco. Some popular destinations include Lombard Street, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf and Alcatraz. San Francisco also has lots of museums around that are very popular with both young and old. Here is an awesome link to 15 things to do in SF: http://crnchy.com/travel/things-to-do-in-san-francisco/

4. Yosemite National Park

If you are looking to relax, Yosemite National Park is for you. I have been lucky enough to visit this park many times and every time I go, it blows me away. You can invite a couple of your friends or family and go camping under the beautiful trees and mountains. Be prepared though, to experience almost every season once in the park. For more info visit the parks website: http://www.nps.gov/yose/index.htm

5. Napa Valley

For those of you over 21, I must recommended Napa Valley. There are many excellent spas in Napa that will having you relaxing unlike nobody. Wine, Wine and more Wine, Napa Valley is known not just for its high quality wines, excellent food, and beautiful nature, but also for its beautiful wineries. Places like Castello di Amorosa, Chateau Montelana, Beringer, Silverado, and Sterling have beautiful gardens, impressive architecture, and fun tours that make them popular among visitors to the valley.
