4 Movies to Watch With Your SO/Tinder Date/Hookup to Get You Both in the Mood

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

Everyone knows Netflix and chill is an innuendo for sex. We all know what happens when you two are lying in bed watching a movie and suddenly the two characters start hooking up; neither of you can help it, “I mean might as well, right?” If you really just want 10 minutes of a movie before getting to the deed, try throwing on these:

1)    Mr. and Mrs. Smith

This movie may seem a little too close to your parents taste in movies, but trust me, the sex scene in this film is incredible. For one, you got two of the hottest people in Hollywood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and they start hooking up in the midst of trying to kill each other, so a great choice if you’re into that kind of thing. Plus it’s an action movie, so you’ll know he’ll be into it.

2)    The First Time

Quite the opposite of the above suggestion, this movie is more teen romance and lighthearted. It seems pretty G-rated, until Dylan O’Brien’s shirtless and thrusting his soon-to-be-girlfriend against her desktop and seems like a real pro for a first-timer. This was the movie every high school sophomore watched and experienced their first real bouts of sexual deprivation, and while we’ve grown up, that feeling while watching this scene hasn’t gone away.

3)    Y Tu Mama Tambien

If you like foreign films and are feeling a more independent one, this movie’s a great choice. It’s got a real sexual undertone the whole way through, embodying hardcore desire and passion. The first sex scene happens around 5 minutes in, so maybe watch beforehand if you’re actually interested? Also highly recommend if you’re a fan of car sex.

4)    Friends With Benefits

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. Enough said.

As a senior undergraduate, I seek out all opportunities that expand my horizons, with the aim of developing professionally and deepening my vision of how I can positively impact the world around me. While most of my career aims revolve around healthcare and medicine, I enjoy producing content that is informative, engaging, and motivating.  In the past few years, I have immersed myself in the health field through working at a private surgical clinic, refining my skills as a research assistant in both wet-lab and clinical settings, shadowing surgeons in a hospital abroad, serving different communities with health-oriented nonprofits, and currently, exploring the pharmaceutical industry through an internship in clinical operations.  Career goals aside, I place my whole mind and soul in everything that I pursue whether that be interacting with patients in hospice, consistently improving in fitness PR’s, tutoring children in piano, or engaging my creativity through the arts. Given all the individuals that I have yet to learn from and all the opportunities that I have yet to encounter in this journey, I recognize that I have much room and capacity for growth. Her Campus is a platform that challenges me to consistently engage with my community and to simultaneously cultivate self-expression.
