4 Concerts Happening in the Bay Area this Semester That You Won’t Want to Miss

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

Going to school in the Bay Area means we are fortunate to always have something going on around us. Whether it’s an art exhibit, festival, parade or concert, there is always something to do. This semester alone there are four major concerts that will be happening in the Bay. These four concerts are some that you will not want to miss out on and here’s why:

1. Steve Aoki will be at The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on March 10th. If you’re into EDM or just want to experience an amazing show, then this is the one for you. Steve Aoki is one of the most well known DJs, and he hasn’t had a show in the Bay since 2016! Even if you don’t like EDM or know much about it, seeing Steve Aoki would give you a great first impression of the electric dance scene. You will definitely be able to witness a great show, good music and be surrounded by the most PLURNT (peaceful, loving, unified, respectful + turnt) people.

2. Kygo will be at the Greek Theatre on March 14th AND 15th. So if you’re unable to make it to Steve Aoki’s show in San Francisco, don’t worry because Kygo will be right here on campus only four days later. This concert is extremely convenient for Cal students. It’s actually walking distance which means you can party with friends and get there and back home safely. Kygo was also apart of the EDC 2017 lineup which means he will be putting on a great show. Possibly playing some of his hit songs which feature Selena Gomez in “”It Ain’t Me” and Ellie Goulding in “First Time.”

3. Justin Timberlake will be at the SAP Center in San Jose on April 24th. Need I say much more than THE LEGENDARY Justin Timberlake is coming to the Bay Area?

4. Lastly, Taylor Swift will be at Levi’s Stadium on May 11th AND 12th. What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than to see T-Swift live? Not only will you see Taylor Swift if you get tickets to this show, but you will also see her opening acts Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX. This will be the first time Taylor hits the road after being MIA and taking a break from the music scene for almost a whole year. You’ll get to see her perform her new album “Reputation” along with all the Swift classics, I’m sure!

As a senior undergraduate, I seek out all opportunities that expand my horizons, with the aim of developing professionally and deepening my vision of how I can positively impact the world around me. While most of my career aims revolve around healthcare and medicine, I enjoy producing content that is informative, engaging, and motivating.  In the past few years, I have immersed myself in the health field through working at a private surgical clinic, refining my skills as a research assistant in both wet-lab and clinical settings, shadowing surgeons in a hospital abroad, serving different communities with health-oriented nonprofits, and currently, exploring the pharmaceutical industry through an internship in clinical operations.  Career goals aside, I place my whole mind and soul in everything that I pursue whether that be interacting with patients in hospice, consistently improving in fitness PR’s, tutoring children in piano, or engaging my creativity through the arts. Given all the individuals that I have yet to learn from and all the opportunities that I have yet to encounter in this journey, I recognize that I have much room and capacity for growth. Her Campus is a platform that challenges me to consistently engage with my community and to simultaneously cultivate self-expression.
