This week for a profile I decided to reach out and ask myself some important questions. Little did I know my inner self would be so sassy. Or internet savvy.

HCUBC: Why did you decide to attend the University of British Columbia?

HCUBC: Ah, okay then. So who are your UBC idols?

HCUBC: Umm… I see. Well, if you could change one thing about UBC, what would that be?

HCUBC: I think we had better shift gears here. What is your dream career?

HCUBC: Woah, uhh… what if that doesn’t pan out? Do you have a plan B?

HCUBC: Come on Avery, we’re supposed to be living in an age of equality! Don’t you have any strong women you look up to?

HCUBC: Grr… Let me rephrase that. Who do you admire the most in this world?

HCUBC: Stop messing around! Just give me an inspirational quote so we can be done with this!

HCUBC: AAAAARGH!

And this, friends, is why journeys of self-discovery should never be undertaken lightly. Thanks for hanging in there with me, HCUBC Cuties, and I hope your inner selves are less sarcastic than mine turned out to be!

Avery is a second-year student at the University of British Columbia, where she is exploring her innumerable and possibly not very practical interests. She hails from the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and has plans to do much more travelling before she gets too tired. If given a choice she would much rather have gone to Hogwarts, but readily admits that UBC is a close second. Her most notable talent is an uncanny ability to quote Hamilton during almost any conversation.
