Just Have A Smoothie Instead!

We all know that summer is on the way and getting in shape is an accomplishment that we all want to make. It’s time to ditch the fast food and junk food and instead give the body what it truly needs which is more water and replacements that will benefit it instead. A meal replacement is not a bad idea occasionally, but for me it’s often that replacing a meal is on the agenda to shed pounds for the summer. Three meals a day and healthy snacks in between keeps me energetic and provides me with the overall nutrition that is needed to complete the day and shed pounds. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and having a smoothie for breakfast is a great start or replacing one of your meals with a smoothie is fulfilling for the body.  


Ingredients for my Favorite Smoothie

  1. 1 cup fresh strawberries (I normally buy mines from whole foods).
  2. 1 cup of almond milk (any of your choice unsweetened, vanilla, coconut etc…)
  3. 1 cup of spinach
  4. 1 banana.
  5. 1/2 cup of ice
