This past Tuesday, Swifties around the world rejoiced because Taylor Swift’s album, Reputation, will be dropping in a month, on November 10. Her last album, 1989, was released three years ago and fans have been patiently waiting for Swift’s return. However, Taylor Swift has not left the fans with no new music these past three years. Last year she wrote the hit “This is What You Came For” with Calvin Harris and this year she released her #1 hit, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”, with Zayn Malik, and country hit, “Better Man”,  recorded by Little Big Town.

Although, Swift’s name has been in every tabloid for years now, fans are ready to hear if she will respond to some heavy topics from these pasts few years in the lyrics of her new songs. Will she address the beef between Kanye and Katy? Will we get to hear about her feelings about her past two relationships with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston? Or will Swift leave the drama in the past and write about her newer experiences with Joe Alwyn? As a Swiftie, I cannot contain my excitement for the new album to drop. I’m ready for the music to speak for itself and I’m also ready for the media to realize that maybe Swift isn’t attacking other celebrities who have crossed her path, but fighting back against the billions of spectators that observe her life and make quick judgments about what they think happens in it.
