It’s that time again, folks. That point of the year where you no matter what store you walk into, you’re eyes are immediately assaulted by big red displays adorned with hearts and covered from top to bottom with either bouquets of flowers or large boxes of chocolates.

Valentine’s Day.

You have two options: be bitter about the holiday and its abundance of romance themed everything, or you can make the most out of your time and treat yo’ self and the gal pals to something nice! Galentine’s Day 2019 is February 13 and below I’ve listed some ideas on how to celebrate with your girlfriends.

1. Go see a movie!

A movie date with the girls is one of the easier ways to get together with your friends (especially if you all are always to busy to do other activities). In fact, Rebel Wilson’s new comedy Isn’t it Romantic is set to hit theatres on Galentine’s day!

2. Make it a dinner date

Planning a dinner is another easy way to get your friends together and is a versatile option. You can a) make reservations at a ~fancy~ restaurant, b) host a potluck, c) just order in some pizza or d) do whatever works for you and your friends.

3. Host a Brunch Party

Brunch, in my personal opinion, is one of humankind’s greatest inventions. Gather up the ladies, break out the waffle bar and drink mimosas to your heart’s content! A Brunch Party is also the perfect time to exchange any Galentine’s Day gifts or play fun games with the ladies.

4. Get creative with arts and crafts

Another super fun and unique to celebrate Galentine’s Day is to get together and create an art project. I personally suggest getting everyone together and following along with a Bob Ross tutorial. You could also paint monogram signs, sculpt clay, or even make the classic friendship bracelet.

5. Do something that means something to you and your friends

The list that I’ve put together here are simply suggestions. Galentine’s day is day meant specifically to celebrate the beautiful relationship that you have with your friends. If there is an activity that you enjoy doing with your friends then, in the words of Shia LaBeouf, just do it.

Happy Galentine’s Day!
