It’s the holidays, the time of year when Christmas cheer is spreading faster than the plague. However, for those of us who don’t celebrate Christmas, due to religious beliefs or for any other reasons, this is the time of year you dread. The malls are too busy, rush hour is significantly worse, and the only shows to watch on TV are Christmas movies. Other than being totally thankful that you get a break from school, here are some of the many thoughts you have around this time of year when you don’t celebrate Christmas:
- When people ask you if you celebrate Christmas
- When people tell you what they got for Christmas
- When your friends text you merry Christmas
- When people ask what you got for Christmas
- When all your Facebook friends post pictures of their new iPhones they got for Christmas
- When everything is closed on Christmas and everyone has plans
- When you come back from break and everyone asks about your Christmas
- When you classmates come back to school with all their new stuff and you’re still wearing the same clothes as last year
- But you don’t have to get presents for anyone
