Meet Chloe! She is a second year Earth and Ocean Science major from Calgary with a fantastic sense of style! If you see her around campus this week, be sure to say hi!
HC: What is your favourite part about your major?
It’s cool because it gives me answers to many questions I had about nature and life. I’m able to explain phenomenons to myself in new ways.
HC: What is your study snack of choice?
Girl, I have so many. Top three would be nachos, hot chocolate and candy.
HC: What is your favourite place to hang out on campus?
The benches in ECS… is that weird?
HC: Where is your favourite place to go for food in Victoria?
Tacofino for sure.
HC: What is your favourite cocktail?
Mojitos, Pina Coladas or Gin and Tonics. The classics.
HC: Who is your favourite Disney princess?
Rapunzel – especially in Tangled.
HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
Zac Efron or Rhianna.
HC: What is your favourite emoji?
Upside-down happy face.
HC: If you could throw the world’s biggest party, what would the party theme be?
It would be Denim themed and the Facebook group would be called “Denim Dreamz.”
HC: What songs would be on the playlist?
Backstreet Boys “I Want it That Way,” Ke$ha “Hot and Dangerous” and something by Rae Sremmurd.
HC: What are your hobbies?
Playing the uke, casual arts and crafts, watching Gilmore Girls or The Bachelor and thrift shopping. I am actually known for being really good at thrift shopping.
HC: What is your favourite thrift shop in Victoria?
I have the best success at the Value Village downtown and at the Salvation Army on Cedar Hill Cross Road.
HC: What is the best thing that you have ever found at at thrift shop?
Matching sombreros for me and my dog.
HC: What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever found at a thrift shop?
Probably a pillow with a close-up picture of Zac Efron’s face printed on it. I still have it.
HC: Describe your style.
People have described my style as “Dirty Chique” and I really like that.
HC: Who is your style icon?
Rhianna or Vanessa Hudgens.
HC: Do you have any tips for how to actually find good stuff in thrift stores?
Be dedicated. I go down every single aisle, even the men’s section. You never know what will pop out at you!
