The 5 Best Shows on Netflix to Binge-watch This Christmas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Vic chapter.

So here is our reality. Finals are approaching, and we are almost done the semester. I don’t know about you, but all I can think about how great it is going to be to actually have the time to sit on my coach with my MacBook Pro and a cup of tea to binge watch the several episodes I have left of Grey’s Anatomy. Unfortunately, as with every binge sesh, it inevitably comes to an end. However, never fear! Here is a list of a few shows to get you started:

1. Stranger Things

If you like jump-scares, an 80’s vibe setting, and great music, spend your holidays dedicated to this masterpiece. The thrill you get from its science-fiction horror combo makes it hard to stop watching.

2. How to Get Away with Murder

For all you legal freaks out there, if the dramatic dynamics of Annalise Keating’s courtroom doesn’t get you hooked, I don’t know what will.

3. Grey’s Anatomy

With McSteamy and McDreamy as eye-candy, the crazy medical dramas posed in the ER, and the humourous adventures of the dynamic duo Christina Yang and Meredith Grey, it is no wonder why people rave about this show so much.

4. House of Cards

Are you thriving in Dr. Wender’s POLI 103 class or just could not stay away from the polls during the U.S. race to presidency? Frank Underwood’s Machiavellian persona and elaborate plan to seek revenge in the White House will keep you wanting more.

5. The Office

You wouldn’t think that a series about the everyday lives of office employees in Scranton, Pennsylvania would be hilarious, but Michael Scott and his fellow staff members at the Dunder-Mifflin Regional paper supply company make it happen.

There you go! Go grab your eggnog and your cozy Christmas blanket or tie-dye snuggy in preparation for the best holiday season yet.
