Canadian winters are long. If you are looking for interesting additions to your winter closet, below are three wildly popular clothing trends coming from Europe.

Fun Leopard

The British fashion elite Victoria Beckham can be seen this winter sporting leopard print goodies, igniting the European craze over animal-print apparel. By now, snake and zebra print are also common along with the classy leopard. The patterns are showing up on all kinds of clothing, especially, blouses, coats, and booties. The British retailer Topshop has an especially diverse collection, including the Leopard Print Jamie Jeans at $60.

French Girl Cardigan

This Barry Jumper by the Parisian brand Sézane stands out with its deep v-neck and tiny white gold metal buttons. The price is a bit hefty at $120, but there are eight colours for you to choose from and you can wear the cardigan both frontward and backward. As of this November, there are 10,000 people on the waiting list eager to purchase this chic item, so get in line!

Bold Neon

Italy has always been known for their eye-catching pieces, and the winter of 2018 is no exception. Miuccia Prada is leading the fashion world with popping neon colours on the runways of Milan Fashion Week and people cannot resist the contagious boldness.

Luckily for those of us who can’t afford Prada’s prices, more accessible brands are also riding the neon wave. From Asos, there is the fluorescent yellow v-neck sweater at $45, its oversized style perfect for a laid-back vibe.

And there you have it. Here’s to keeping this winter colourful and creative!
