One of the biggest stories on campus this week has been that of the CUPE 3902 strike, resulting in thousands of TAs refraining from their regular TA duties. I attended a solidarity picket where hundreds of students came out and supported the workers of units 3902 and 3903, joining with them to picket, chant, and march through King’s College Circle. The event was high in spirits and definitely charged with an attitude of outrage towards the university’s refusal to give TAs the recognition they deserve.
