Class is in session—zoom edition. In an ideal world: we’d get up every morning, get dressed, eat and be presentable for our chats via camera. But reality check; it’s a lot of effort, and some days we sit through the whole session with the camera off—yikes!
On the days we’re really sluggish, especially after a restful reading week, an easy confidence boost sounds like the best cure, but how? How about a “no-makeup”- makeup look, but make it effortless, natural and cute—just a little something to enhance our features. Follow these tips and tricks for the simplest glow up for zoom class.
- Tinted Moisturizer
-
A lifesaver and self-explanatory. I use the moisturizer by Laura Mercier and it’s been a staple for me on no-makeup days. It’s hydrating and light coverage, so my skin still looks like skin. It’s perfect for a natural look, just to cover the minor blemishes we all get. Concealer isn’t even needed but don’t be afraid to use a dab for any dark circles caused by all-nighters… been there, don’t want to go back.
- Brows
-
In my opinion, brows make a world of difference in the overall look. Natural fluffy brows are such a trend, (think Jordyn Woods or Lily Collins) but don’t get me wrong, I love a snatched sharp brow for nights out. Using a tinted brow gel is the fastest and most effective way to fill in sparse areas and shape your brows, all in one! The Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow is so good for getting that fluffy, full brow look, in half the time.
- Mascara
-
Eyes, camera, action! A light coat will do the job and instantly make you look like you’re wide awake and eager to learn. I’ve been coming back to this drugstore staple by Maybelline because it’s just that good! A trick I do, inspired by Kim Kardashian’s eye makeup, is apply it to my lower lash line too, just to give my big eyes an extra pop!
- Bonus: Hair
-
As an extra, hair is probably the easiest step in this routine. I’ve picked up this dry conditioner from the Verb brand at Sephora and it’s actually amazing. It smells so fresh and clean, and works with a dry shampoo. Do a little spritz of this, throw your hair up in a timeless messy bun, and you’re set for class and ready for any “on the spot” presentations.
