How do you feel about being chosen for the Campus Personality?
I feel honoured.
What was your worst fear about University and how has it changed?
My worst fear was that I would not be able to manage my time well, and it hasn’t changed because I still suck at managing my time. Hopefully I’ll get better in the future.
What excited you the most about University and how has it changed?
I was excited about learning English! I like most of my courses, but there are some that are just boring. I’ve realized that I won’t enjoy every single English course and that’s okay because there are some that are amazing and make up for the boring ones.
One thing about university that you aren’t a fan of?
The food options.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone transitioning into their first year of university?
Learn how to do things on time because it’s possible to be lazy in high school and still get good grades with last minute work. But that doesn’t work out in university at all. Time management is key.
How do you manage stress when it comes to your studies?
I listen to music and take naps.
What is your favourite place to be on campus and why?
I actually really like the library. It’s peaceful and seeing other people work motivates me.
Favourite course you took so far?
Children’s Literature. ENG234. Mostly because Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was on the reading list.
What is the most interesting thing about your program?
I think it’s interesting that there is a wide variety of courses. There’s Narrative and British Literature but then there’s also Children’s Literature and Graphic Novels.
What would you consider to be your dream job?
An author.
