Hearty and Warm Soups for This Painful Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Penn chapter.

Just because it’s below zero degrees outside does not mean you can’t whip up a delicious, home cooked dinner for yourself. I get it; when it’s this cold we all resort to grub hub or whatever type of cereal we can find in the kitchen that day. But let me just say, when you are already out in the cold for class, you might as well pop into a grocery store and pick up a few simple ingredients for a healthy, affordable and delicious home-cooked meal in no time.

Not only are these winter months torturous thanks to the frighteningly cold weather, but midterm season also starts to pick up right about now. So treat yourself to a little bit of home cooked deliciousness by making one of these warm and hearty soups. I guarantee they won’t take long to make and will warm you up from the inside out. Plus, they can be frozen and stored for weeks so you’ll have endless amounts of warm soupy goodness!!
