You can find many high-end brands at T.J. Maxx for cheap prices. This is because when high-end brands like Kate Spade decide to produce a certain number of items (such as purses, wallets, etc.) and bigger department stores like Macy’s only buy a small portion, T.J. Maxx will actually purchase the remaining inventory at a discount. Most of the items it buys tend to be from the current season, so you don’t have to worry about being left behind. You can almost always find items from other stores at T.J. Maxx if you look closely! I once purchased a Michael Kors wallet for about $25 when the original selling price was $100 at the actual Michael Kors store!

The Runway section is the most exclusive part of T.J. Maxx, because the store puts all their high-end designer labels in this section instead of sectioning the store by brand. According to its website, this is the department that’s “overflowing with European, contemporary, and couture fashion.” I have seen a lot of Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors handbags just hanging on the racks at discount prices in this section. T.J. Maxx even has a separate Runway section on its website so that people who enjoy online shopping can see the items; however, the items online may be different from the ones in the store.

The store receives new inventory everyday. You can literally shop at a different store everyday, and I guarantee that you’ll see something different each time. If you can’t find an item at one store, you can probably find it at another T.J. Maxx nearby. This is both a pro and a con because though the stores are stocked daily, items can run out fast. Hence, it’s better to come to the store early in the morning to get the best finds! Be sure to also visit multiple stores to see the variety of available products. In addition, because you never know what you’ll see on a day-by-day basis and it’s always a surprise, T.J. Maxx is a great place for people who just enjoy the act of shopping. This is what separates T.J. Maxx from stores like Target, where people go when they know exactly what they need to buy.

They have gift baskets that come with different sets and bundles of items like perfume, skin-care and hair products, make-up, and more! They even have food baskets for those who would prefer chocolate. Gifts are also divided by price levels, which is helpful for those with a particular budget. This makes T.J. Maxx is a super convenient option for people who are doing last minute shopping and have no idea what to gift their friends and family.

At the end of every season, T.J. Maxx places a discount price on items that haven’t been purchased so that it can clear room and restock inventory. This usually happens in January and June, so pay attention around these times if you want to save additional money. Personally, I always tend to stop by T.J.Maxx in June to see the items still left in the store.
When I’m buying things from T.J. Maxx, I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth — I always end up leaving with so many items without paying too much money!
