Tis the Season for Starbucks Holiday Drinks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Ottawa chapter.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Starbucks Christmas cup season!

I have been counting down the days to the release of the Starbucks red cup and for the holiday drinks to arrive – you can never have too many gingerbread hot chocolates!

This year, Starbucks released their Christmas Cup on Friday November 6, 2020. The Christmas red cup is a free reusable cup given to customers with the purchase of a holiday drink (while supplies last, of course.) This year’s cup is inspired by some of our favourite Christmas symbols embedded in red and green ribbon!

While the cups are super fun and festive, the real reason we’re lining up outside our local Starbs is to get our hands on the delicious, cozy drinks! This season’s holiday drink menu will feature some returning favourites, as well as some new sweet treats!

Try the classics: Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Mocha, and the OG Hot Chocolate are all back this winter. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the Chestnut Praline Latte, the Eggnog Latte, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Nitro Cold Brew, or the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. If you’re more caramel than cocoa, treat yourself to a Caramel Brulée Latte, the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, the Salted Caramel Cold Brew, or the Salted Caramel Mocha!

Next time you’re craving some Starbucks, treat yourself to one of their festive new holiday drinks!
