January is the month after all the crazy shopping for the holidays, where everyone goes broke! By broke, I mean spending a certain budget (in some cases over your budget), for Christmas shopping, New Year’s Shopping, and maybe just a little pre-party shopping to celebrate the end of exams! But, after January, we all do wish to shop for great fashionable items without spending too much. I mean, who doesn’t need an excuse for shopping? (Back to school shopping? Cough cough!) Well great news, as soon as the holidays are over, most retailers in shopping centres have awesome sales to get rid of their previous year’s stock in order to sell their new stock! This is good news for us, because some really big brand named products are sold for more than half of the price at the end of the year!
Luckily, for us University of Ottawa collegiettes, we have the Rideau Centre that is only a five minute walk from campus! The Rideau centre has over 100 stores that have a wide selection of many big-name brands such as Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and many more! The Rideau Centre carries a variety of stores ranging from electronics and games to high end fashion stores such as BCBG.
To make things easier, I have listed below many stores at the Rideau Centre that have awesome sales of almost everything in their stores, up to 70% off! Now that’s a great sale! Most stores have begun their promotion from January 6th, 2014 and last until the first week of February 2014.
Firstly, for all those video games lovers, EB Games is having a promotion where you get 20% extra credit when you trade towards an accessory purchase! This promotion runs until February 2nd, 2014.
For all fashion accessory needs, Bentley and Access are having their end of season clearance sale of up to 70% off! This sale is applicable in store and also online for all of you online shoppers! It may be a good idea to stock up on these needed items for next winter at a price that is unbeatable (however, with price-match now available in most stores, it may be beatable)! This is great because I’ve never seen a sale that went above 50% off at Town Shoes. Town Shoes is having this awesome promotion from January 6th until January 27th, 2014. Moreover, Nine West is having a sale where you take off an extra 50% off on select styles! They carry a wide range of footwear and handbags that are beautiful. Their sale runs from January 7th until January 21st, 2014. In addition, for those who love comfort shoes but also want to enjoy the classy look, then Naturalizer is the place to go. Naturalizer is having a sale of up to 70% off a wide range selection of shoes and handbags! Their promotion is for a month long that began on January 8th until February 7th, 2014.
For all Fruits & Passion fans, they’re having their biggest sale of the season where you can save up to 60% off! They carry a wide range of beautiful scented bath and body products that are usually at a pretty high price during the other months of the year. Now may be a good timing to purchase your desired product from Fruits & Passion! This promotion is until February 2nd, 2014.
