How are you involved on campus?
I’m not very involved yet since I’m a first year student, but I’ve joined the Pre Med society and I’m currently pledging Sigma Chi fraternity.
What do you look for in your significant other?
Someone who is funny, that is outgoing. If they are shy, I’m not attracted. I like someone who is outdoorsy; city girls aren’t really my type.
Have you ever had a bad date?
Last summer, I was in Toronto and I met this girl in a bar. We went out on one date and half way through our diner, she asked me how old I was. She though I was in my twenties… I told her I was 18 and when I asked her how old she was, I learned that she was actually 30 years old! Pretty awkward date and we never went on a second one.
What is your biggest turn off?
A girl who always wants to be the center of the attention, who needs to be liked by everyone and who thinks their life is more important than other’s. It’s the worst.
How do you show your interest in a girl?
Body language is key. I’ll put my arm around her if we’re having an intimate conversation. Also, I’m a pretty straight up guy so if a girl shows interest in me, I’ll make a move.
Do you believe that it is the guy’s responsibility to approach a girl and ask her on a date?
No! It would be awesome if a girl asked me out, I’d feel so much better that way. Personally, if a girl would ask me out, I’d for sure say yes. It’s hard sometimes and I sometimes get nervous.
Who is your role model?
I would say my grandmother, who is hilarious. She is my role model because she doesn’t care what people think. She makes every situation into a good one, whether it’s bad or not. For example, a couple of weeks ago, my grandfather forgot their anniversary so she baked her own cake, cooked diner and bought her own alcohol. She had a party by herself. She’s always happy. I want to live my life like she does.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope to be out of Canada. I’d like to maybe live in England and have a good job. I probably won’t be married yet. I’m currently debating between doing a major in biology or geology. So I’m still trying to figure it out.
