Whether you’re planning on spending a cozy night in with your SO or heading out to a wild party with your girls, finding an outfit for New Year’s Eve can be a nightmare. I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I find NYE the perfect occasion to add a little sparkle to life, and outfit. Sequins are the perfect festive touch around the holidays, and I love finding new ways to incorporate them into my wardrobe. Find yourself drawn to the sequin life also but unsure where to start? Well have no fear, I have come up with NYE outfits, regardless of your plans.

Night In
Just because you’re planning a bringing in 2015 in front of the fire, doesn’t mean you can’t bring some glamour to the basement. Joggers have become a style staple this year- fashion girls everywhere are loving the fact that it’s now socially acceptable to leave the house wearing sweatpants ;). Add some sequins and you have the perfect pant for a night in with your cutie. Pair with a sweater and flats for a comfy, cozy and chic look.
Family Gathering
If you’ll be celebrating the end of another wonderful year surrounded by family, a sequin skirt will complete the perfect ensemble! I love the midi length and will be looking for a sequined midi to wear this holiday season. It adds the perfect girly feel, while still being on trend- something that is a must in my books. Since family gatherings are usually more low key and casual, pairing a bedazzled skirt with a cardigan or graphic tee will dress down your glitzy lower half.
House Party
Stand out among your high school crew by opting for sequin shorts, rather than the typical jeans and tank combo. Sequin shorts may not be everyday attire, but they’re especially appropriate on NYE. Pair them with heels and a crop top for a classic look, or mix it up by adding tights and combat boots. And if you live in a colder climate you can wear a pair of tights underneath, the choice is entirely yours. No matter how you style them, you’re sure to be the centre of attention all night long ;).
Clubbin’
If plaid is the ‘it’ girl of fall fashion, then the sequin dress is her hot, older cousin. The sequin dress is the ultimate dress when you’re celebrating the end of the year in a wild way with your crew. Since the dress is the statement piece of your outfit, you won’t have to spend any precious party time worrying about accessories (talk about my kind of outfit). Pair with neutral or black heels, some winged eyeliner and you’ll be ready to dance away the final hours of 2014!
