The Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes of 2013

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Ottawa chapter.

Halloween is one of those holidays that anyone and everyone can participate in. Everyone wants dress up and be someone else for one day, even our favorite celebrities. Similar to the beautiful gowns and suits seen on the red carpets throughout the rest of the year, celebrities dress in their costume every Halloween and strut their stuff. Here are some of the best!

Heidi Klum welcomed her guests to her annual Halloween party dressed as an old lady, which was made easy by the team of makeup artists she had to help her. We should all be so lucky!

Ellen DeGeneres hosted her Halloween episode scandalously (and hilariously) dressed as Nicki Minaj! She wore the same outfit that Nicki wore on her show earlier this fall, and while Ellen’s shocking cleavage was fake, her Nicki-esque attitude was real.

On the Today show, Matt Lauer rocked the high-cut one-piece red swimsuit made famous by Pamela Anderson. He dressed as everyone’s favorite early 90’s-era bombshell, platinum-blonde wig and all!

The Miley Cyrus look became old quickly this Halloween. But on The View, Jenny McCarthy dressed up as Miley’s infamous tongue. Miley Cyrus, in turn, went as Lil’ Kim.

The cutest Halloween costume of the year, if not ever, was an easy pick. Neil Patrick Harris and his family went as Alice in Wonderland characters. Could this get any better?

There you have it folks – Halloween 2013 is a wrap, and these celebrities showed us that it really is about great costumes and a great time.
